Modified Jessner Peel is a synergy of effective acids that help reduce the appearance of melasma, freckles, acne and mild cases of rosacea. It is also an excellent choice for minimizing signs of aging and fine lines and wrinkles. 

 

Active Ingredients:

  • 14% Lactic Acid – offers exfoliating and moisture retention properties to promote a softer smoother skin
  • 14% Salicylic Acid – antiseptic keratolytic BHA that smoothes, improves skin’s texture and has anti-acne and anti-irritant properties

Acne treatment and management: a Success Story

Dear readers,

My name is Daniela and I am the Director of Skinnovation Laser Clinic. Today I come to share my personal story!

I’ve been battling acne since my teens. Back then I tried lots of things, such as medications, skin produtcs, change in diet etc. Mind you,  I wasn’t really educated in skin as I hadn’t even started my beauty therapy studies yet, so I was doing whatever I was being told to do by professionals. Nothing really worked and I ended up giving up for a long time and just lived with it, whilst covering it up with make up on a daily basis.

It’s been about 2 years since I decided to give it another try, since now I am educated in skin and have access to the best products and latest treatments (thankfully). And here are my wonderful results! They were achieved by a combination of different treatments and consistent use of Cosmedical Skincare.

Eyebrow Feathering

Cosmetic Tattooing (also known as Permanent and Semi-Permanent Makeup) is a technique that involves depositing pigment into the skin in order to enhance the natural beauty of the eyebrows.

 

The eyebrow tattooing, also known as feather eyebrow tattooing or feathering, uses a hair stroke technique where individual hairs are recreated along the brow line for a natural look.

 

 

 

The first step of this treatment is a Free Consultation, where we discuss your needs and evaluate your face shape, thoroughly explain how the treatment works and give you pre and post instructions.

 

After that, 2 treatments are required: In the first one we do the preparation of the area, which includes the perfect eyebrow design and the choice of pigment colour (which is always the closest to your natural eyebrow colour). A topical numbing cream is then applied to the skin for extra comfort, followed by the feathering process. This technique involves drawing each individual hair stroke onto the client’s eyebrows until the desired fullness and shape is achieved.

 

The follow up session is where we finalize the design of the eyebrows in order to achieve a natural look.The pigment remains in the skin indefinitely, although the colour may fade due to aging of the tattoo, health and environmental factors, eventually retouching may be required.

 

At Skinnovation Laser, we have our experienced eyebrow artist Elohanna, with over 5 years experience in cosmetic tattooing and eyebrow shaping.  Elohanna’s passion for brows starting from a very early age which has given her the ability to develop an eye for detail. She’s originally from Brazil, having done all her beauty and eyebrow training overseas.

MICRODERMABRASION

 

What is Microdermabrasion?

Microdermabrasion is a non-invasive skin resurfacing treatment that rejuvenates the skin on your face, neck or arms with virtually no downtime. It deeply exfoliates the skin’s aging, damaged, outermost layers to reduce imperfections and sun damage, blemishes, certain types of superficial acne scars, fine lines and uneven pigmentation. 

 

How many Microdermabrasion treatments will I need?

After the first treatment you will notice your skin will be softer, smoother, and clearer. Optimum and lasting results may require a series of five to ten sessions, spaced at 1-3 weekly intervals, depending on the condition being treated and the quality of your skin. Single Microdermabrasion treatments are best reserved for maintenance or for a pick-me-up for your skin before an important outing.
